Woman Arrested for Cooking Meth in Wells Branch Apartment

A report of a natural gas odor led to a “major drug bust” at an apartment complex in Wells Branch Parkway in Austin earlier this week.

According to the Austin Fire Department and Travis County Sheriff, fire personnel and sheriff’s deputies responded on May 26 to a 911 call at ‘The Park’ at 1915 W. Wells Branch Parkway.

The Sheriff’s Office said in a news release, “As the deputy approached, AFD advised a person was running from the apartment. It was determined that the source of the odor was a vehicle gas tank inside the apartment.”

Law enforcement seized approximately 30-40 kilos of methamphetamines. The apartment resident, Ana Angelica Jalomo, was arrested and charged with Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance greater than or equal to 40 grams.
