Police shot and killed a man who they say had opened fire on them first, according to a briefing by Austin Police Department Chief Joe Chacon.
The incident happened on Sunday near the intersection of St John’s Avenue and I-35 frontage road southbound, as officers were responding to an unrelated incident.
