Dutch Airline KLM Launches Direct Route from Amsterdam to Austin

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has launched nonstop service between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS), an airport with connections to over 60 other desintations in Europe, the Middle Esat, and Africa.

KLM will operate three flights weekly between Austin and Amsterdam on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. The airline already flies to Houston and 10 other U.S. destinations. The March 28th launch of service to Austin brings the number of KLM routes to an all-time high.

Flights will be operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner featuring HD entertainment, on board Wi-Fi, ambient LED mood lighting, and lower fuel consumption than earlier models.
